Auto Show 2015
Being surrounded by gorgeous cars all day really gives you a rush like no other! I had the fantastic opportunity to attend the 2015 Auto Show at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, and I did not leave unimpressed. Here’s what I discovered to be trending during my day trip outside of the carpet industry.
It was unmistakable that our Pantone color of the year played an integral role in many of these models. Marsala popped up both in subtle ways, delicately lining the piping or stitching in some sleek interiors, and in more prominent ways, covering all upholstery within others.
Another popular color palette at the show included yellowed sienna browns, with creamy white, and cool grey accents–Like this crisp 2015 Jaguar XJL Portfolio shown below.
Sienna was used in a softer context here, paired with a light linen-textured upholstery, in this 2014 BMW i3.
Patterns within these models were overall pretty subdued, featuring tight-knit grids, organic tone on tone lines in thoughtful, delicately placed areas, and some interesting striped repeats.
And lastly, these are just for eye candy…Well, because they’re beautiful. 🙂
These cars are definitely enough to turn anyone into a dreamer. Consider me inspired.
