July | Summer Saturation
It’s been a long road to Summer here in Michigan, but we’ve finally arrived to warmer temperatures and longer, sun-filled days. The five patterns we’ve curated for July from our 50 Patterns | 50 Years anniversary collection are some of our favorites yet. Pops of red, white, and blue join together with sunny yellows and vibrant coral in a scheme that celebrates the bright shades of saturation that belong to summer. Learn a little more about the inspiration and construction of Menzo, Alonza, Tavira, Peniche, and Aveiro below.
Hot days demand cool moments of reprieve. Vivid and vibrant tones like azure blue, bright persimmon orange and sunshine yellow bring punch and energy to those lazy days of summer.
Our Menzo pattern is a bright and contemporary hand-tufted design that made it’s first appearance in the Scott Group Custom Carpets Solstice collection. Designed with mid-century Scandinavian influences, Menzo pulls vibrant pops of color in a cut pile pattern with loop lines breaking up the blocks of design.
Alonza, shown below, is also a Scott Group Custom Carpets original from the Solstice Collection. An undertufted hand-tufting technique creates the pixelated pin-dot pattern. The square/triangle “tiles” in the pattern create lots of fun possibilities for color placement and scheme. Try a tone on tone monochromatic look or dial up the striking contrast even more.
Peniche pictured above and Tavira, shown below, are the most traditional of the curated group. Both hand-tufted Hokanson designs but with saturated pops of color for a refreshing and striking spin.
Aveiro is a hand-knotted Hokanson design that pulls some inspiration from Bauhaus style. The bold color blocks in the design transform this pattern into a work of art.
