Window Display | Chemistry of Color
During this month, our team has been in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York installing our new window displays for fall/winter. The theme is The Chemistry of Color – how science and art interact with each other.
One of the most creative ways to demonstrate a company’s brand is through a facade. The visual element of a window display is one of the first things to catch a designer’s eye. It also provides a nonverbal aspect to communicate with your audience. The factors that makes these displays so appealing is the combination of art, design and marketing. These components, when done correctly, can elevate a brand’s image.
For our current facade, we wanted to explore the relationship between chemistry and design. Color has an extensive impact when creating designs; from the hue of the pigment, to the canvas on which it is being applied. The Chemistry of Color is both the science and art of color. Color science explains how we perceive, use and create color. These are some of the topics you’ll hear in our Interior Design Continuing Education Unit presentation. They are all important points to consider when attempting to appreciate color in its fullest.

To correlate with our window display, we will also be presenting The Chemistry of Color in our various showrooms. This CEU presentation will explain the physics, biology, psychology & chemistry of color and how it is extremely important to designers, especially when determining the correct color.
