Director of Operations

Duties
- Strategic Leadership: Lead, direct, and monitor every aspect of production in our manufacturing plant with a strong emphasis on cross-functional leadership. Collaborate closely with leadership at our corporate offices to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans.
- Performance Optimization: Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality, productivity, and cost performance. Lead initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness by encouraging and supporting employee ideas for improvement. Analyze data to assess performance and spearhead process improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations, processes, and procedures. Work on strategic projects that have a mill and company-wide impact. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity, lead times, and capacity to meet and exceed business objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained while continuously improving all aspects of product quality. Implement measures to enhance quality control processes and minimize defects.
- Operational Efficiency: Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity. Maximize throughput, lead times, and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Employee Development: Foster positive employee relations by providing coaching, development opportunities, and resolving issues through effective problem-solving. Responsible for making employment decisions and managing performance. Propose changes to staffing and equipment to meet productivity and capacity objectives.
- Cost Savings Initiatives: Lead and initiate cost-saving measures and process improvements to achieve positive results across all areas of operations. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Abilities+ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the textile or carpet industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of quality management principles and experience implementing quality assurance processes.
