Project Coordinator

Job Summary 

The Project Coordinator supports our Architecture & Design (A&D) and European Sales teams by managing projects to deliver exceptional customer experience.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring a seamless, high-quality customer experience by coordinating internal teams, vendors, and production partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process sample requests and quote requests by confirming accuracy and entering information in operating system or web form application.
  • Collaborate with estimating team as needed to confirm unique/complex requests.
  • Review new orders from sales teams and customers to ensure information is complete and accurate.
  • Answer customer questions; investigate as needed.
  • Follow inquiries and requests from initial order through production to shipment.
  • Monitor reports to ensure data entry accuracy and samples/orders are being processed timely.
  • Enter new follow-up notes as needed and manage all assigned follow-up notes.
  • Answering telephone and assisting caller or transfer to the appropriate party.
  • Prepare samples and other items for daily parcel shipments.
  • Schedule and print custom labels for application to completed Black River products.
  • All other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and/or a minimum of two years of customer service experience in an office environment.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/CAD floor plans, calculate product needs and answer design related questions.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • A background in carpet manufacturing, architecture, or in an interior design office is a plus

  • Display strong communication skills –excellent grammar and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and appropriately handle complex and sometimes delicate situations with clients
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, anticipate needs, and exceed customer expectations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work with wool based products.
  • Ability to easily move and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to see color and pass the Farnworth Munsell 100 Hue Test.
