Project Manager
Job Description Summary
The Project Manager plays a key role in the success of the showroom and is responsible for supporting the sales team in achieving sales targets, maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, supporting all aspects of showroom sales and coordinating projects within the showroom environment. This role prepares quotes, tracks orders and samples, and coordinates across internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional, service-oriented experience to all clients and visitors in the showroom.
- Assist walk in clients and support sales presentations by providing product knowledge, answering inquiries, and making thoughtful recommendations.
- Support senior sales executives with day-to-day quoting, customer service, sample requests, and order tracking.
- Update and maintain CRM and project management records.
- Follow up with clients on sample requests, outstanding quotes, and project timelines to ensure satisfactory project momentum.
- Develop knowledge and gain exposure to the sales process through observation, collaboration, and hands-on involvement in active projects.
- Track samples that are on loan to clients and retrieve any samples that are no longer being considered.
- Maintain an attractive and organized showroom of displays with Showroom Manager and sales staff that highlights products effectively including maintaining displays, managing walk-in traffic, ordering office supplies, and assisting designers and clients as needed.
- Coordinate showroom events and team presentations.
- Collaborate with inside and outside sales teams to ensure alignment between showroom activity and sales strategy.
- Monitor industry trends and product offerings in the market and offer ideas for improved client engagement and showroom efficiency.
- Log opportunities, manage internal systems, and support accurate and timely client communications.
- Support long-term showroom goals.
- All other related duties assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, business, or a related field preferred, with four years of experience in showroom sales, project coordination, or customer service.
- Experience within the architecture or design industry preferred.
- Proven experience in project management, sales coordination or a similar role.
- Attention to detail and anticipating needs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant industry products, trends, events, and competitors is preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft suite, CRM (Pipedrive), Hubspot, or similar software solutions.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work in an office-based environment with occasional evening or weekend events.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in a long sales cycle business while executing tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to change between tasks as required and use autonomy to adjust priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use a phone and computer.
- Ability to meet and greet customers in the Showroom setting on a daily basis.
- This role is in a professional setting and requires occasionally standing, walking, bending, twisting, or lifting samples up to 50 lbs.
